Your Responsibilities

  • Evaluate & plan the projects, from high level to detailed sequencing:
    • Develop timelines to ensure proper sequence of the different stages and allow stakeholders to understand the critical path.
    • Identify opportunities to adapt and update the project plan through the phases of development.
    • Ensure the project is properly archived when completed.
  • Drive the execution of the project:
    • Lead the team to achieve the goals and objectives of each project.
    • Support the core team in involving the right stakeholders at the right time.
    • Ensure that projects are documented according to our processes, and that all deliverables are executed with the expected quality level.
    • Develop effective communication plans for each project, which enable stakeholders to regularly share progress, knowledge, challenges, and expertise.
    • In collaboration with project teams, ensure that risks are clearly identified, quantified, communicated, addressed, and documented.
  • Report & inform on key project metrics: scope, time, costs.
    • Define project milestones to ensure clear short-term goals for the team members.
    • Lead project update meetings, manage progress documentation.
    • Give each stakeholder the level of details they need on project progress and tasks.
    • Understand and measure the KPIs relevant to new product development.

Education + Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial design, or equivalent degree.
  • 2-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (asset).
  • New product development experience (asset).
  • Certification in project management (asset).
  • Knowledge of the LED lighting industry (asset).

Qualifications + Skills Required

  • Great communication skills.
  • Bilingualism essential (French and English spoken and written), because the position holder will be required to interact daily with international colleagues, clients and partners who do not speak French.
  • Show a strong sense of responsibility & ownership.
  • Ability to manage changes quickly, and drive people through it.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
