Description
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate numerically controlled machines to perform various tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, milling, etc..;
- Understand task specifications and desired results by reading technical plans, mechanical drawings, etc..;
- Translate instructions into computer commands so that machines can perform the right function;
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines;
- Prepare a test to check that machines are producing according to specifications;
- Configure machines to run complete cycles to manufacture a large number of parts;
- Supervise machines as they perform tasks and make adjustments as necessary for best results;
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them to requirements to determine whether the process has gone smoothly;
- Check and maintain machines daily to ensure proper operation;
- All other related tasks.
Education + Experience Required
- DEP, DEC and/or Certificate in Machining or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Qualifications + Skills Required
- Proficiency in the use of CNC machines and tools, as well as precision measuring tools;
- Ability to read and interpret documents and mechanical drawings;
- Computer literate with basic knowledge of computer programming and CAD/CAM;
- Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills;
- Strong attention to detail and results-oriented approach;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Sense of Urgency, Adaptability and flexibility;
- Demonstrate autonomy, initiative and organizational skills;
- Fluency in French (oral and written) and basic knowledge of English (oral and written) to interact occasionally with international colleagues, customers and partners who do not speak French;
- Strong customer service.
