Lumenpulse luminaires were chosen to light the iconic Olympic symbol atop the new Canadian Olympic House of the Canadian Olympic Committee, located in downtown Montreal.

The illuminated symbol was unveiled during the building’s inauguration ceremony as part of Canada Olympic Excellence Day on July 9th, 2015.

“It’s an honour to participate in such an historic event for a major sports organization that has a permanent presence in Montreal,” said Francois-Xavier Souvay, President and CEO of Lumenpulse. “The Canadian Olympic House is a landmark project, not only for its importance to the country’s athletics program, but also for what it represents internationally. We are very proud to have helped illuminate this iconic symbol now gracing Montreal’s skyline,” he said.

“Lumenpulse has been committed from day one to making the Olympic symbol shine in the skyline of Montreal, Canada’s first Olympic city. The company is playing a key role in bringing the Olympic Movement closer to home for thirty-six million Canadians. I thank them for their support. We can promote sports thanks to the contribution of companies like Lumenpulse,” said Marcel Aubut, Canadian Olympic Committee President.

To illuminate the OIympic symbol, lighting designers Ombrages used durable, high-output Lumenbeam Grande luminaires. As part of the dramatic unveiling, the firm also created a dynamic multi-colored lightshow using Lumenfacade Color Changing luminaires along the front of the building.

“We needed high-performance products that were also reliable and solid enough to be installed at 35 storeys up. The Lumenbeam Grande and Lumenfacade luminaires were a perfect fit, with the right output, flexibility and durability for the project,” said Mehdi Laieb, Principal at Ombrages.
