Every October, lighting designers from around the world gather in Alingsås, Sweden, to explore new possibilities in illumination. Using the Nordic city as a canvas, seven lighting design professionals led groups of students and junior designers as they put together schemes for various public spaces around Alingsås.

This year's theme was "Everything Under Control," and to support it, the design groups created solutions that incorporated controllable dynamic light. For the young designers, it's an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest lighting equipment.

Lumenpulse fixtures were used to light 4 of the event's 6 sites, including the Railway Underpass, an underground train station many feel is unsafe because of its conventional lighting scheme (Lumenbeam Large RGBW and Lumenbeam Small 3000K); the Three Bridges, an interchange near the city limits (Lumenbeam Large RGBW, Lumenbeam Small RGB and Lumenfacade RGBW); the White House, the headquarters of Alingsås Energi, a local energy provider (Lumenbeam Large RGBW); and Plantaget Park (Lumenbeam Large RGBW and Lumenfacade RGB).
